Veggie Stir Fry

Super digging this lunch today! Broccoli, mushrooms, snap peas, garlic, cabbage, chickpeas, coconut aminos, coconut oil, a little Cajun seasoning and onion powder. Delicious!

2 cups Broccoli
1 cup Mushrooms
1 cup Snap Peas
5-6 cloves Garlic
2-3 cups cabbage
1 can Chickpeas
1/2 tsp. Onion Powder
Coconut Aminos and Cajun seasoning to taste

Sauté in coconut oil (or in mushroom broth for an oil-free version)


Emotions and the Physical Body

An emotional trigger can be one of the main reasons for a reoccurring symptom, chronic pain, a plateau in healing, or just an overall toxic feeling.

I specialize in Emotional Release in my practice because I feel this is above all the most important piece in true healing and health. I have had several clients stop progressing in their healing process due to the fact that they felt “unworthy” of getting better. They were subconsciously sabotaging their health because of an emotional blockage. Once the blockage was addressed, their healing continued.

Q & A with Autumn Smith, an Emotional Declutterer and Intuitive Healer

Cleaning out your emotional space is a lot like cleaning out your physical space. You have to open your cupboards, see what’s there, and decide if it still brings you joy or if it’s simply taking up space. And just like Marie Kondo focuses on cleaning up our physical spaces, Autumn Smith focuses on decluttering our energetic spaces. Autumn recalls that her intuitive gifts began as a “loud voice” that would warn her of impending danger. She also remembered feeling emotionally overwhelmed as a young child, which she realizes now she was feeling all of the emotions of the other people around her. Today, they have evolved into a full fledged ability to see what is cluttering a person’s energy field, draining them of joy and vital energy, and sometimes causing illness and disease. Today, we get to talk with Autumn about how this all works and why it’s so urgently needed.

Fall is my favorite time of year (and how fitting considering my name is Autumn…)

I love the beautiful colors and watching the leaves fall. There’s something very inspiring about watching the transformational process into winter, the death, and yet knowing that the spring will come and all will be reborn again. Fall is our gentle reminder that letting go may feel like we are suffering a loss, yet the process is a beautiful unfolding to new growth.

13:31 The Reflection

I have spent quite a bit of time reflecting on my life lately. Where I have been, the things I have done, the stories I once believed… And oh, how things change.

I am 31 – and 3/4! 😉 – Life is weird isn’t it? I mean really, has it gone at all how you had imagined? Certainly not for me! I find myself still waiting to have it all figured out. How silly is that? We will never have it figured out. Ever.

Happy New Year!

How do you feel about New Year’s resolutions? I have never been a fan for two reasons:

1. Why put off making positive changes? And this goes for more than just New Years. How many times have we said, or heard:

“I’ll start:
– in the summer
– when the kids go back to school
– after the holidays”

There’s no law that says you can’t start your new life on a cloudy Tuesday in the middle of April. New day, new life! Who dis bitch?

2. I feel like saying, “ok, this year I’m going to (fill in the blank)”, sets us up for failure. I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but I’ve had to learn the hard way that it doesn’t have to be ALL or nothing, either/or… it can be AND, and it can be half ass or full ass depending on where you’re at in your life.

I think if you are trying your best every day, that’s all you can hope for. And some days our “best” isn’t going to be as good as others. Give yourself grace. Perfection doesn’t exist. Life gets messy, and at times it’s just pure chaos and our best might be just getting out of bed to shower. Breathe in. Breathe out. Let it go. Meet yourself where you are, and love yourself regardless. Beating yourself up doesn’t do anyone any good.  Celebrate the little victories. It’s in those that you find the motivation to take on the bigger ones.

Did you drink water today? Good job! I’m proud of you! Whoa… you even added lemon? Damn, you’re a badass!
No shit, you drank celery juice too? KILLING IT!

I believe in having goals for yourself and setting intentions, but I’m just saying, you’re year isn’t ruined if you fell off your path two weeks in because you forgot to soak the beans and now your whole meal plan AND budget is thrown off. Clearly, I’m speaking from experience!

Every day is a fresh start – every moment is a choice – you got this! Maybe our new DECADE resolution could be to be kinder to ourselves, more heart centered, present, willing, open, graceful… I know how hard you’re trying. I see you.
