Our beautiful Earth has provided us with everything our bodies need to sustain and heal life! I am deeply passionate about connecting to and learning from our Earth. She offers us everything we could ever possibly need, but how many of us truly take the time to appreciate such a sacred gift?
Health is simple – It is not easy, but it is simple. Our body intuitively knows what it needs. Unfortunately, over time we have lost touch with our internal guidance. The wonderful news is that it’s still there! We just have to learn how to recognize it.
My goal is to help others become more in tune with their bodies, listen to their intuition, and really feel into their needs. One way we approach this is through Nutritional Therapy.
Nutritional Therapy is a science based, yet holistic approach to nutritional counseling focused on the fact that food, as nature intended, is a form of medicine that can heal, protect, nurture and support good health. Our bodies are amazingly capable of restoring balance when given the proper raw materials.
Nutritional Therapy is both a system of healing and prevention that can help improve every system of the body.
Nutritional Therapy is based on two fundamental premises that are essential in any form of nutritional counseling:
The first is that each of us are biochemically unique. No one diet fits everyone. Age, genetics, gender, the climate we live in, etc. all lead to diverse lifestyles with diverse nutritional requirements. Nutritional Therapy can help you sort through the maze of conflicting dietary information out there today. It custom tailors practical dietary changes combined with supplementation to correct nutritional deficiencies and restore balance and health to the body.
Second, there are certain foundations of health that do not vary between individuals. These foundations are Digestion, Blood Sugar, Mineral and Fatty Acid balance and Hydration. Imbalances in any of these will manifest as different health problems for each person. The strength of Nutritional Therapy lies in its ability to detect and correct underlying dysfunction in these foundations.
